The Browser War and the Microsoft Arrogance

OK, somebody does not understand how the internet works. This is not new, but Microsoft is digging his own grave (well, I hope). It makes me so angry to see things like this:

Web Messenger Browser Error

So, if users want to use the online version of the MSN Web Messenger, they have to use MS Internet Explorer. This not very user friendly, Microsoft!

I’m happy that you’re angry and that Microsoft has locked you out.

You sound surprised. Get off them both.

    Works under Firefox2/Windows.

Depends on the browser you are using you don’t mention it in your post. It’s kind-of pointless to say microsoft is evil if you do not give all informations.

They should alter alternatives, like try using Meebo instead!

Ricky, you are right, I should have given more information.

    I use everyday 2 different configurations: Firefox/Mac and Firefox/Linux.

Using these systems 99,9% of web services I use work fine, until now I have only found problems using Mircrosoft services (like Web MSN and MSN Games Zone). Why?

…and yes, posting this article in a Microsoft forum was (maybe) not the best idea. If you are developing for Microsoft, please open your eyes…

Browser war, and it s growing up day by day. and i use firefox. And microsoft can be angry some time. for example we want to try updating our windows system using firefox says that “your browser does not support ….etc.” it s boring. and i hate it.

Microsoft if not necessary evil, it’s not necessary good. It all depends on the need of the time. I wouldn’t definetly put my dad on linux for sure haha.

For most thing, microsoft is using ActiveX objects, which is easier. Easy is the keyword for them it’s for the RAD. Now for security that’s another thing ;-). Personnally I use both linux and windows and very happy camper with both. But I totally hate mac haha :P
